Lunar Eclipse: Digital Interpretations
So this is the original picture, taken from my phone at September 7–8, 2025, visible to observers in Asia, Europe, and Africa. As an avid moon lover, I went on my balcony and took some pictures apart from that one above.
When I think about the moon, mostly I associate it with two flowers I used to smell around a lot, when I was at Naxos in the night. The first one is jasmine and the second is called evening primrose. Since that was the case, I've been thinking about creating a flower out of the moon picture above in an app called Glitché. My first move was to mirror the moon.
After I've experimented around with the mirroring and moved the moon enough times close to the center so as for it to look like a flower, I decided it needs a stem. There's a tool in Glitché called "Liquify" and I used it to extend one of the petals downwards to touch the border of the canvas. After that.
One of the ways I tried to change the flower was to pass the stem through the "water" effect.
Below you can find different ways I've edited the same picture of the flower made from the original picture:
I've also made a short video with the ripple effect, targeted in the center part with circles. This one, along with the last picture with the "pixel dots", I believe can be used in web design projects or websites.
I'm probably going to create something in Figma with it, in the near future.
